R-Panel is a multi-use wall and roof panel used primarily in pre-engineered metal building applications. An optional Purlin Bearing Leg (PBR) rests on purlins and provides support for fastening the panel lap. Our photo gallery is designed to help customers better visualize the appearance of R panel by seeing actual projects that use the panel. There’s nothing quite like seeing a product in action before you take the leap and make a significant investment for your project.
Installation of R-panel roofs requires a minimum slope of 1:12 and butyl sealant should be utilized in the laps. R-panel wall and roof panels also feature a Class A fire rating under UL 790 (ASTM E108 and NFPA 256) procedures R-Panel has been thoroughly tested as proven by testing, including UL 580 Class 90 Uplift testing, ASTM E1680 air infiltration, ASTM E1646 water infiltration, and UL2218 Class 4 impact resistance.
R-Panel also has Florida State Approval 1747.9 and 1832.11, Miami Dade Approval (PBR only) and Texas Department of Insurance Approval RC-284 (PBR only).
You can customize your R-panel wall or roof selection in a number of ways, including purlin-bearing legs, coatings, substrates and more. Non-purlin bearing legs are options for R-panel walls, while purlin-bearing legs are required for roof panels. Choose from among a wide range of Kynar 500® colors, or silicone-modified polyester coatings. Enjoy standard 26 GA Galvalume® substrate with roof and wall panels, or select optional 22- or 24-gauge Galvalume® panels.
